Can you speak with me before you commit to a session?

What if you don’t feel I specialise in what you need?
No problem. It’s always important to feel confident that you are working with the right coach or therapist for you. A responsible and ethical professional coach or therapist will always put the client ahead of a booking sale. I am part of an extensive network of specialist coaches and therapists I can refer you to if that would be best for you.
Can you have sessions online?
Most of my 1:1 coaching is online via Zoom. Discovery Calls may be via telephone or Zoom. In person 1:1 coaching is possible in the North of England but please note that additional expenses and travel time are charged. Client registration documents will be sent to you for completion before your first session.
Do I need to book a block of sessions?
I used to offer single sessions and pay as you go coaching. However, over time, I’ve noticed that my clients get the best results from committing to a block of sessions and from some gentle accountability in between them!
This helps keep the momentum of growth going. You’ll be asked to commit to working with me for 3, 6 or 12months at a time. You’ll be able to book your next sessions at the end of each coaching session but payment for each set must be either in advance (via a single, direct bank transfer or card payment) or in agreed scheduled payments (For UK clients, this will be via GoCardless as a Direct Debit or via a scheduled card payment).
From 2025, all new 1:1 clients will join my Definition programme for 6 or 12 months. Definition includes a monthly 60minute Zoom session and a video or phone call for up to 30minutes between sessions. Only my current or returning clients will be able to book blocks of 3 sessions.
Committing to a block of coaching or my 2025 Definitions programme will help you by giving an accountability and regular sessions so that you create the momentum you need for sustainable growth.
Do you use a specific coaching approach?
I tailor my coaching to you and your needs. I may use the same specific positive psychology approaches or “interventions” (activities) with more than one client, but each time, they are adapted to you as an individual. When you choose coaching with me, you are not choosing a single coaching approach. Your sessions are bespoke to you.
What if I’ve booked and paid for a session and can’t make it?
I understand that life can be unpredictable, you can rebook your session free of additional charges if you do so 12hours or more before a session. If you fail to show at your appointment, no refund will be given and you will need to pay for additional sessions as normal.
My complimentary 15minute discovery call is free of charge, but I reserve the right to invoice individuals who fail to show for these bookings. I ask you to honour my time, just as you would for other professionals. If you need to cancel at shorter notice, try to call me during working hours before to explain and discuss whether rearranging your session is possible. I’m pretty empathetic and we can usually manage to reschedule.
How do I know if you can help me?
Get in touch and ask me. I have worked extensively with people of all ages in different nations and cultures. I am trained and insured to coach individuals to see breakthrough in a variety of areas of their life. Generally speaking, if you are ready to do the inner work needed, you will find being coached can help you transform different aspects of your life.
Please note that I do not offer psychotherapy or coaching for depression and clinical anxiety. These are best dealt with by specialist therapists. Please see your health care provider for recommendations or ask me to recommend a colleague.
Do you see children?
Although I am trained and insured to work with children and young people, rather than offering coaching to children, I focus on training and supporting carers and relatives to help their children with their emotions and emotional behaviour.
Do you offer evening & weekend appointments?
Yes I do. There is usually one evening a week on my booking calendar available. Weekend appointments are possible by arrangement.
Do you see more than one person at an appointment?
I accept bookings from carers/parents to focus on parenting big emotions and supporting a child or young person. I also work with individuals who would like coaching about their relationships – this may be about their relationship with their partner, their friends or other relatives. I do not offer couples therapy/coaching or family mediation/therapy. I can recommend couples therapists/coaches.
Do you offer coaching for PTSD or after traumatic events?
These are specialist areas of coaching and therapy. Whilst I am trauma aware and trauma informed, I am not a professional trauma specialist or trauma accredited. If you are seeking coaching or therapy for trauma related emotions, I recommend finding a specialist trauma therapist or coaching psychologist.
